Thank you for posting these comics. I am an aspiring author, and the genre I am currently working with has me engrossed in religious research. The first novel of a mythic-fantasy series I am working on is nearly complete, but reviews from my peers have left me somewhat terrified. My novel includes historical figures from Islam's history, including Allah, Muhammad, Khadija, and several angels listed in the Qur'an.
I have great respect for Muslims, and all religions for that matter. I'm an agnostic myself, but also a writer, so I can appreciate a good story when I see one, even if I don't believe full-heartedly in it. My intentions are not to offend anyone, but rather to entertain others with my work, which happens to be inspired by ancient and modern religions.
Sometimes, the only way I can bring myself to continue writing something that has such dangerous potential, is to remember this:
No matter what religion a person believes, they all teach love, compassion, and forgiveness. If a person strikes out at you over your differing perceptions of a particular faith, then they were never a true member of that faith to begin with. Whether you ask What Would Jesus Do? or What Would Muhammad Do?, both were striving for peace and harmony. Anyone who harms that peace is following their own agenda, not their religions.
I do not fear Muslims or Christians, because true Muslims and Christians are peaceful beings who honor the teachings of their religions by harming none. I will continue writing, and hope that others do not hinder their art out of fear. Long Live Free Speech!

I cannot thank you enough for this noble (and hilarious) act of support for free speech and defiance of the islamofascists! The fact that these cartoons are all over the internet proves that free speech has won a great victory. The best part about the cartoons are that they all are not only extremely clever and funny, but all of the drawings and their messages are powerful icons for freedom of speech. These cartoonists all deserve medals. They have earned their place in the history of freedom.
Freedom of speech and expression are the only truly sacred things on our planet and censorship/repression is one of the most evil things a government or person can do.

Some one might do this for the publicity of their newspaper but perhaps they forget that there are two ways, Right and Wrong, Right thing is to do something right like we should hightlight the positive aspect of each other's society, and good person is the one who looks at the good aspects of other, and bad aspects of himself or herself, which makes him or her more curious to rectify his or her mistakes, which can make him/her a good person in the society that what the teaching of Our holy prophet, so please for God sake stop publishing these sort of portrate or pictures, because we just forgot it.
